Community Event - Chatham - Need to Read Challenge at CKPL
Join us for this “Canada Reads” literary “Survivor” themed event on Thursday, May 31 at 1:00 pm to discover which book you need to read this summer! Students from Chatham Christian High School will be championing 5 different literary contenders and your vote will help turn one book into a champion.
The contenders:
- “A Long Way Gone” by Ishmael Beah
- “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time” by Mark Haddon
- “Animal Farm” by George Orwell
- “Ender's Game” by Orson Scott Card
- “Obasan” by Joy Kogawa
This event will take place in the Community Living Café area of Chatham Branch (120 Queen Street). All ages are welcome, no registration required.
