Community Event - Ottawa Valley - Champlain Trail Museum Christmas Lamplight Tour

The Champlain Trail Museum is holding its second Christmas Lamplight Tour on Saturday December 9th 2017 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Our pioneer buildings will be lit with old fashioned oil lamps and open to the public. Admission is $5 for adults and seniors, $2 for children, and free for members. Santa Claus will be available for photographs. Other activities include a traditional plum pudding display, kids craft station, writing letters to Santa, music by the Saxophonix, and more. There will be food and hot drinks for sale in our main building. For more information please phone 613-735-0517.

The Champlain Trail Museum and Pioneer Village is the largest Museum in Renfrew County with more than 10,000 artifacts among its collection.  Located in Pembroke, the Museum is owned and operated by the Ottawa Valley Historical Society and gets funding by the municipalities of Pembroke and Laurentian Valley.

The Kiwanis Club of Sarnia-Lambton Golden K is selling Claxton Fruit Cake at Lambton Mall by the Body Shop every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 1-4pm starting Nov. 28th through to Dec. 22nd or while supplies last.  All proceeds to support Service Leadership Programs for Youth in our community.

The Town of Tecumseh wants to hear from residents and will conduct a telephone survey from November 13 to 27. The survey will cover such topics as quality of life, municipals operations and services, top of mind issues, customer service and communications. Residents who don't get a call can participate at www.tecumseh.ca after November 15.
