As a part of CKPL’s National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) celebrations Chatham-Kent Public Library is hosting a writing workshop and book talk with author Jacqueline Garlick.  Join us Wednesday, November 8 at 6:30 pm at the Chatham Branch as Jacqueline offers tips for surviving and succeeding during NaNoWriMo.  Jacqueline will also be discussing her latest books, Soleil and Tick Tock Plot: How to Speed Write the Next Blockbuster eBook.  Copies of both books will be available for purchase at the program.

This fall Chatham-Kent Public Library invites everyone to “Come Write In” with the National Novel Writing Month Challenge (NaNoWriMo).This program is for all writers looking for some inspiration, a quiet place to work or a chance to meet other “Wrimos.”  Come Write In will be offered every Wednesday in November from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

St. Catharines-based artist Mori McCrae discusses her “pink work”, tactile sculptures of the female form in which she embedded poetry as a means of blending body and voice. Made instinctively and from non-traditional materials including plastics and flocking, McCrae describes the production of this series as one of the most interesting, intense, and exhaustive periods of her creative life.

Admission by donation ($5 suggested), free for members and students.
