The Chippawa Home, Garden & Leisure Show, is a community event that will be held at the newly renovated Chippawa-Willoboughy Memorial arena near the beautiful Niagara Falls Parkway. Whether your passions are cooking, gardening, shopping for cool clothing, staying healthy, or you need ideas for pet care/obedience, finances, home &/or business renovations; our show is a great place to find what you need. Lots of Food & Fun for the whole family. Music provided by Niagara Jazz Festival.

The Chippawa Home Garden & Leisure Show supports AUTISM ONTARIO Niagara Chapter and various community food banks.

In this free work-related course, participants learn to perform basic computer tasks – Computer Use being 1 of the 9 Essential Skills identified by the Government of Canada as necessary for success at work and in daily life. Topics include: Parts of the Computer Using a Mouse Keyboarding The Desktop Searching the World Wide Web Saving & Managing Files Online Safety Community Resources The course starts starts April 9, 2018. Class runs Monday to Thursday 1 to 3 pm for 6 weeks. For more information or to register, call 613-932-7161.

The April meeting of the Peterborough Historical Society will feature an illustrated lecture by Fred Gariepy, a life-long resident of Peterborough who practices law in the Alfred W. Gariepy Murphy Law Office. Whether written down or not, memory is fundamental to our understanding of history. What we remember, and how we remember it, shapes our narrative of past events and reflects a perspective that may not be shared by others. Perhaps our childhood and youthful memories are the most firmly embedded.
