Topic Description:
Goodness creates order. Evil creates chaos. It is no surprise, then, that the means through which order is kept and evil is contained in society is through law: an idea first given to us by the Lord Himself. So why do God’s order and many of today’s governmental practices seem so opposed? And how do we, as Christians, respond? In this seminar, David J. Jones will be addressing that very issue. Discussion will range from early Biblical foundations, and the development of law as we know it, to kingdom powers and the role of judgement. Come learn with us how we can be effective in our communities and His Kingdom.

Public Notices/Announcements - Peterborough/Lindsay - Monthly Meeting of Peterborough Astronomical Assoc
The Peterborough Astronomical Association will hold its regular monthly meeting, which takes place on the first Friday of the month, on April 6th, at 7:00 p.m. The meeting location is the Rotary Education Centre/Guest Services Building, Riverview Park Zoo, Peterborough.
We are currently looking at a new program for beginners in astronomy. The classes are currently on hold at this time, but stay tuned for future updates as new opportunities may be made available to learn the sky and earn a certificate in the process.
Our presentation for April will start shortly after 7:30 p.m. and features a Skype talk by Dr. Luc Simard, Director of the National Research Council (NRC), Astronomy Technology Program, Hertzberg Astronomy and Astrophysics, Victoria, B.C. The topic is yet TBD, but as a professional astronomer who started as an amateur, he always likes to get back to his roots and talk to the public about astronomically related subjects that are his life’s work and interest. Don’t miss a unique opportunity to hear first hand from one of Canada’s astronomy research specialists.
Following the main presentation(s) we will look at the “Sky This Month”. Be informed about the locations of the planets of the solar system. There will also be the usual opportunities to come and check out the PAA and all it has to offer, at no cost. This is an all ages meeting and the venue is barrier free. Also, you don’t need a telescope to belong, but a curious mind helps.
