Community Event - Ottawa Valley - March Break at the Champlain Trail Museum
March Break is less than a month away, have you made plans yet? The Champlain Trail Museum & Pioneer Village is presenting three March Break programs this year. Each program is $10.00 per child.
Monday March 12th is Adventures along the Ottawa River; where we will be taking a walkthrough of the history of the Ottawa River, touching on some of the different trades and people that have used the river. In each section there will be fun activities and crafts connected to the different trades. The program will run from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. and it is available for ages 8-11.
Wednesday March 14th is Water Rangers: Protect Our Waters. Two members of the Water Rangers organization; Julie Sell and Jennifer Valentine, will be teaching how to test water and the importance of water testing to the community and the world. There will also be crafts and games associated with water and the creatures that need it to survive. The program will run from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. and it is available for ages 5-12.
Thursday March 15th is A Trip to Wonderland. Follow us down the rabbit hole into Wonderland. There will be activities and crafts associated with Alice, the White Rabbit, the Queen of Hearts, and many other characters. Children can come dressed as their favourite characters if they wish or wear their most Wonderland inspired outfit. The program will run from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. and it is available for ages 5-9.
If interested in registering your child please contact us before March 7th at curator@champlaintrailmuseum.com or call us at 613-735-0517.
