Chatham-Kent Public Library to Offer Living Well & Leaving Well Workshop
You’ve written a will, but are all your ducks in a row? Chatham-Kent Public Library, in partnership with My Final Wishes Advance Planning, will be offering a free, interactive, and informative Living Well & Leaving Well workshop specifically designed to educate people on the benefits of being prepared for end of life decisions. The presentation is part of 2018 CK Reads programming.
The workshop will be offered at Chatham Branch, Chatham-Kent Public Library, on Wednesday, January 10 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
Learn how to make this difficult time easier on your loved ones by attending this free workshop. By the end of the session, you will learn about:
- Probate and how it will effect your executor and estate
- Protecting the identity of the deceased
- Pre-planning for cremations and burials
- Living wills

Public Announcement - North Bay - Music for Toddlers - Winter Session
The North Bay Public Library Children’s Department is hosting Music for Toddlers – Winter Session Tuesday mornings starting January 30 at 10 a.m. in the Children’s Storyroom. Music for Toddlers is an interactive program that involves action songs and the use of basic rhythm instruments such as drums and shakers. This program is for toddlers (ages one and two) and their parent/caregiver.
When: Tuesday mornings starting January 30 through to March 6, 2018.
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Where: Children’s Storyroom
Registration is required and will begin on Monday, January 8 at 9:30 a.m., either by phone (705) 474-4830 or in person at the Children’s Desk. Registration is limited. Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
Public Announcement - North Bay - Creative Writing Club
The North Bay Public Library in partnership with Frontier College presents the winter session of Creative Writing Club, a club for writers of all abilities. Creative Writing Club will take place on Wednesday evenings starting January 10, from 6 - 7 p.m. in the Children’s Storyroom.
Led by trained tutors, the Club offers a variety of group and individual writing activities and games that will explore the fun and magic of the written word.
When: Wednesday evening starting January 10 through to April 4, 2018 (except for Feb. 21 and March 14)
