Theatre Burlington's winter show is “My Old Lady” written by Israel Horowitz and directed by Judi Wilson. An inherited Paris apartment may be the perfect escape for a down-on-his-luck man. But the old lady who currently lives there won’t move out. Can they learn to co-exist?

When a down on his luck middle aged man inherits an apartment in Paris, he plans to solve his financial woes by selling it. He arrives on the doorstep and discovers, to his dismay, that the elderly woman living there has lifetime habitation rights under an arcane French law and she is not about to give them up. Because he has no other place to go, she invites him to stay in the spacious apartment. A spiral of friendship, romance with the old lady’s outspoken daughter, and some uncomfortable revelations about his unmourned father affect all in this poignant play.

Theatre Burlington presents "Hansel and Gretel” written by local playwright Vic Hyde and directed by Michelle Spanik and Kathy Hyde-Nagel. A modern twist on a familiar tale and the perfect way to introduce youngsters to the magic of live theatre.

Not part of the series but offered for the enjoyment for the young and young at heart to enjoy affordable family fun.

The children’s production are designed for the little ones to experience live theatre in an up close, friendly theatre setting using colourful costumes, sets and lighting. The children usually sit up front on mats while caregivers use the regular chairs.

Children are invited to meet the actors and visit the set at the end of the performance.
