The Warriors of Hope Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon Boat Racing Team is pleased to announce they will be hosting their 17th Annual 18-hole, 4-Person Scramble Golf Tournament at Osprey Links Golf Course on Saturday, September 10, 2022, sponsored by Country 90.5 FM CFCH.
Don’t miss your opportunity to enter a team! The entry fee is $125.00 per person, which includes golf cart, greens fee and a delicious chicken and rib BBQ dinner, with prizes awarded to the winning team, closest to the pin and longest drive; in addition, each participant will receive a $25 charitable receipt.
With the support of volunteers and associate members, this determined, energetic team has become a role model for breast cancer survivors, not only in North Bay, but also wherever they compete. The Warriors of Hope work to raise public awareness of cancer issues with a special focus on supporting breast cancer survival, particularly through active fitness programs like dragon boat racing.
The tournament comes as the team is fresh off their Golf Medal win at the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival in Vancouver, British Columbia. Competing in the breast cancer ‘A’ Division, against 18 other teams, the Warriors posted top times in all four of their races.
Come celebrate this wonderful achievement with us! Further information about the tournament, online registration and registration forms are available at www.warriorsofhope.com under the tab ‘Golf’. If you have any further questions, please contact Elizabeth Foisy at 705-476-0594 or by email at warriorsofhope.golftournament@gmail.com.
