Members of the Sault Ste. Marie Diocesan Council of The Catholic Women’s League of Canada (CWL) are called to attend the momentous 100th Annual Diocesan Convention to be held from Friday, April 22nd to Sunday, April 24th, 2022, in North Bay, Ontario.

Celebrating the first 100 years of the Sault Ste. Marie Diocesan Council of the CWL, 2022 marks the 102nd year of the Sault Ste. Marie Diocesan Council and the 100th year that the council hosts their annual meeting.

Approximately 200 women representing 30 councils will come together in North Bay for the Sault Ste. Marie Diocesan Council historic annual meeting.  Members from as far west as Sault Ste. Marie and as far east as Callander, and places in between, will gather as women of faith, to pray together, to strengthen the bond of sisterhood, to learn about the CWL, to have fun and share stories, renew acquaintances, and create lifelong friendships.

The Catholic Women’s League of Canada is the largest national organization of Catholic Women in Canada founded in 1920.  The program of the League is one of faith, service, and social justice, exemplifying the love of God and neighbour in the world community.

For more information about the weekend activities, members are encouraged to contact their council president.
