NPSC's Special Education Advisory and Parent Involvement Committees welcome you to their 21st Annual Carousel Evening  on Monday, April 4 at 6:00 p.m.  This free virtual event will feature keynote speaker Dr. Patrick Carney and his presentation "Happiness: Imagine the Possibilities! Well Aware Model of Mental Health & Well-Being for Children with Exceptional Needs". 

With over 25 years of experience in direct therapy, and serving in a number of high profile environments, Dr. Carney provides a strength-based approach to support individuals and families in meeting the many challenges modern life brings.  During this event, Dr. Carney will draw on lessons published in his book, “Well Aware – Developing Resilient, Active and Flourishing Students” to speak to our audience about cultivating happiness now and going forward!

Acting classes for adults and (homeschooled) children are now available!

 

The program is run by SOLE Theatre, which is a performing arts company, exclusively focused on the foundations of acting.

 

With a curated focus on character development and scene study, SOLE is an immersive, enjoyable, creative experience where children (homeschooled) and adults alike can explore their love of theatre and performing.

James St Drop In Centre is in need of donations! Below are a list of the most needed items right now:

 backpacks, reusable grocery bags, ziplock bags

 personal hygiene items (razors, shaving cream, deodorant, tampons, pads, body lotions, hand and feet warmers, etc.)

 pants for men and woman

 warm socks

 boots + shoes of various sizes

 fresh fruit + vegetables

 fresh meat (hamburger, turkey, chicken etc)

 bread + eggs

 lunch-meats

 snack items

Donations can be dropped off at the James St Drop-In Centre Friday thru Monday from 2pm-6pm
