The Peterborough community is mourning the tragic loss of Jessica Dalliday and her newborn daughter.  Jessica was a bright light in the community and her spirit of giving back is evident as even in death she continues to help others.

The family learned that at least three lives have been saved by Mrs. Dalliday’s decision to be an organ donor. Jessica was also a blood donor and received multiple units of blood as doctors tried to save her life. In lieu of flowers or financial donations, the family would appreciate if people donated blood or signed up for the Canadian Blood Services Stem Cell Registry in Jessica’s name.

HBD2Me (Happy Birthday to Me) is about four friends in grade six who haven’t been together for a while, because of the pandemic.

A is celebrating her eleventh birthday online, and she can’t wait to see her friends again, but worries that they won’t want to come to her weird virtual party. When everyone does show up, they all find ways to laugh, to be themselves, and to support each other in these unusual times.
