HONOUR OF DUTY VETERANS BRUNCH

A Child’s Promise to Remembrance

Our youth generation stands to foster the sentiment of remembrance, speaking to the fundamental principles of sacrifice and generosity that our Veterans (who had the privilege to serve) stood to in respecting and safeguarding our Canadian values of democracy.

In keeping with the Provincial and Municipal recommendations to protect the health and well being of our community attending public events, the Windsor Moose Lodge 1499 is cancelling its 6th annual HONOUR OF DUTY VETERANS BRUNCH – 25 October, 2020.

The Jr. Moose of the Windsor Moose Lodge 1499 (the only active Moose Lodge youth group in all of North America) look forward to welcoming our Veterans, military families and guests to experience the presence of remembrance in the company of good friends in 2021.

Many things have changed in 2020.     What moves you in 2020?

The covid aware Ride for Refuge- newly named Ride Freestyle - is going to have a new look this year. There will be no hosting of the RIDE on a specific day (October 3/20) so we have decided to encourage our participants to walk or ride during the weeks of September 21- October 3rd. So this year we are encouraging our past/future fundraisers to recruit team members (no more than 10 per team) from their churches, places of employment and family/friends and to use our routes from previous years.

Join us September 21 thru October 3, 2020 for a family-friendly cycling and walking fundraiser hosted by the Pregnancy Options & Support Centre - we provide a place of compassionate care and non judgmental support to all.
