Belleville in the First World War: Reports from the Intelligencer - Not all the heroes were on the battlefields. For the last several years, Archives Volunteer and Editor, Laurel Bishop, has combed the archived issues of The Belleville Intelligencer during the war years to compile a most complete and interesting insight into the this community reacted to the war, and the many ways it supported our fighting men and nurses overseas. Lots of personal stories;. Your relatives might even be mentioned! The launch will take place in Gallery #1, Belleville Public Library, 254 Pinnacle Street, Belleville at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23.
