GROUPES DE SOUTIEN POUR PROCHES AIDANTS POUR LA RÉGION DE STE-AGATHE

Pour les parents et amis qui prennent soin d’un proche atteint de la maladie d’Alzheimer. C’est une bonne occasion pour s’informer à propos de la maladie et échanger avec d’autres proches aidants et la Société Alzheimer Laurentides.

La rencontre, animée par Madame Mélanie Champagne, se tiendra le 10 avril 2019 de 13h00 à 15h00 au Pavillon Philippe-Lapointe, au 234, rue St-Vincent, à Ste-Agathe-des-Monts.

Chaque deuxième Mercredi du mois.

Introduction to Volunteer Engagement

Have you recently been assigned the role of engaging volunteers in your organization? In this workshop, learn the value of volunteers and the principals of volunteer engagement, including recruiting and retaining volunteers. 

Participants at this workshop will: 

  • Understand the value of volunteers
  • Learn the concept of volunteer engagement 
  • Explain the importance of motivation and hot it leads to retention
  • Identify the areas of risk in volunteer programs

Who should attend? 

Volunteer coordinators/managers and other staff or volunteers responsible for the engagement of an organization's volunteers.

Community Event - Sarnia - Spring Fashion Show for Haiti

Join us for a spring fashion show at One Tooth on May 2 from 6:30-9:30pm. There will be a silent auction, door prizes, and desserts. Event proceeds support health care and literacy in Haiti through Hands up for Haiti and FIDA. Tickets are $40.00 a person. Tickets available at One Tooth and Esby and Soph.

The Port Hope fair is community, volunteer run event that celebrates agriculture in Northumberland County.  Featuring animal displays and competitions, demolition derby and truck pulls, midway, local vendors, musical entertainment, and so much more!  This year we are helping to celebrate the 225th wheat harvest in Northumberland County.  Come join in the fun!
