Petticoat Lane is having a Happy Halloween Sale on Wednesday October 31st from 9:30 to 4:30! There will be 50% off mostly “black or orange” items as well as 75% off Halloween items. Petticoat Lane, Cobourg’s feel good thrift shop, is located at 25 Munroe Street in Cobourg, across from No Frills, behind The Beer Store. The shop is managed by the volunteers of the Northumberland Hills Hospital Auxiliary. Proceeds from this event, and all Auxiliary events, go towards the purchase of hospital equipment. The Rapport Singers of North Bay will be presenting an afternoon concert titled, AIR: O2 BE ALIVE! at 1:30 pm on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Trinity United Church (Ferguson at McIntyre) in North Bay. Adult tickets are $15, student tickets are $10 and admission is free for those 12 years of age and under (all tickets at the door). For this concert the Rapport Singers are delighted to have as their musical guests The Canadian Military Wives Choirs (CMWC) North Bay.
This is the third and final concert in Rapport’s Life – It’s Elementary! series and the theme is centred on Air, one of the four ancient Greek elements that were though to make up the universe. The program is made up of selections that feature the ways that air, wind and flight have been the inspiration for so many memorable contemporary songs.
Our Christmas Kettle campaign is our MAIN fundraiser. All money raised goes directly back into OUR community through our food, clothing and emergency food bank programs. Our campaign runs from Nov. 14 to Dec. 22. We have 15 kettles located across the City and we need VOLUNTEERS to help "man" them. ALL kettles are indoors.
