The Renfrew Lions Club will be collecting food and financial donations for the Renfrew and District Food Bank on Saturday, December 7th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 PM at Renfrew Metro.

Now, more than ever, donations are required for food banks to keep the shelves stocked to support those in need. Especially this time of year. Please drop by and bring items to restock the food bank.

When making a food donation, please ensure the best before date is well into the future as they are unable to distribute expired food products. The food bank has refrigerator and freezer space for perishable items.

Your financial donation will have an immediate impact on their food program whether it is a one-time or monthly gift. Their purchasing program allows them to secure food at substantial discounts converting each of your dollars into many dollars worth of food.

Here is a wish list of needed items: Kraft Dinner, Soup, Cookies, Pancake Mix, Syrup, Coffee/Tea/Hot Chocolate, Pasta, Pasta Sauce, Ketchup/Mayo, Soda Crackers, Cereal, Canned Meat, Personal Adult Care Product, Baby Care Product/Diapers, Peanut Butter/Jam/Honey, Sugar/Flour, Something Sweet, Dish/Laundry Soap, Cooking Oil/Butter/Margarine, Bag of Oranges/Apples, Bag of Onions, Bag of Carrots, Bag of Potatoes, or a Donation of Your Choice.

Why not make a donation to make a difference in the community? Your support of the Renfrew and District Food Bank, no matter how big or small, will make a difference for those in need.
