Get ready for the 2025 edition of the SVTC’s annual fundraiser, Sixth and Broadway. This year we celebrate the '60s with songs from Broadway shows that either debuted in the '60s or feature life in the '60s. With live musicians and a powerhouse cast, we will lift your spirits and get your toes tapping. Packed with hits from legendary shows from Hair to Hairspray, from Little Shop of Horrors to Jersey Boys, there will be something for everyone. Whether you're a longtime Broadway lover or discovering these classics for the first time, you'll be swept away by the magic, the memories, and the music. It's a night of fun you won't want to miss!

The Quinte Field Naturalists are pleased to present Steve Burr of the Royal Astronomical Society Belleville Chapter as he talks about "Reclaiming The Night Sky"

The sky is filled with wonder, an experience you should merely have to look up to enjoy. But the stars are becoming more difficult to observe and are even invisible in many urban centres.

The Quinte Field Naturalists invite you to examine the current situation, its effect on life forms not just our own and look at ways to mitigate or eliminate the growing threat to our access to the night sky.

Steve Burr, a member of the South Shore Joint Initiative and RASC Belleville is the champion for dark skies in Prince Edward County and for the establishment of a Dark Sky Preserve on the south shore of the county. The Quinte Field Naturalists have signed on as supporters of this endeavour and Steve will bring you up to date on his efforts.

Steve is an amateur Astro photographer and will be sharing some of his amazing pictures of star clusters, galaxies and nebulas that await your discovery in the night sky.

And, if you haven’t already seen it, we will be showing Gary Magwood’s documentary “Hello Darkness”.
