Mark your calendar for NOVEMBER 1 and stand up against violence towards women.
Advocating for women's rights is a passion for the members of Zonta, as well as many others in Chatham-Kent. Help us raise awareness as we join TOGETHER with the Chatham-Kent Women's Centre as they walk from the Civic Centre to their facility on Sandy Street. The more people we have, the stronger our message will be - so let's join forces and get attention!.
It is only a short walk - but we can make a big IMPACT. We will gather at the flagpole on King Street, in front of the civic centre for noon. Representatives will speak and then together we will raise our voices for an end to violence.
We can make a difference to those who have been victims. We can make a difference to those who drive by and are inspired to help a friend or loved one, or end their violent acts. Maybe it will INFLUENCE a child and help them to form respectful values. We CAN make a difference!
On NOVEMBER 1 join us. Be sure to wear orange - the worldwide Zonta Say NO campaign colour.
*Note - Our annual Nov 25 rally on the Bridge will NOT occur this year as we hope to inspire positive change by working together with the Women's Centre
