Not just your Granny’s shawls and socks! This year’s raffle prize is a stylish unisex poncho.
There’s a demonstration area where we will be showcasing our methods and explaining how to get “from sheep to shawl” as well as giving you a hands on experience.
Sign-ups and gift certificates for “A Taste of Weaving” workshops will be available at the Guild’s booth.

Community Event - Quinte - Trenton Citizen’s Band Welcomes New Players.
Trenton Citizen’s Band welcomes new players. This includes people who play, or used to play, woodwinds like clarinet, flute or saxophone. Also, brass instruments like trumpet, trombone, French horn, baritone and tuba. Also percussion like drums. This band has been active for over 60 years and is looking for both accomplished players and those interested in re-entry or wanting to learn. Practices are Monday evenings at 7pm, held at the Church of the Latter Day Saints, 79 Byrne Ave, Trenton. Community Event - Peterborough/Lindsay - Kawartha String Orchestra 2024 Winter Concert
The Kawartha String Orchestra (KSO) is pleased to present their annual winter concert on Sunday November 24 starting at 2pm at St. James United Church (221 Romaine Street, Peterborough, ON).
The theme of the concert is "Christmas, Seasons". Award-winning conductor and music director Tak Kwan and the KSO will play selections from Vivaldi, Purcell, music from the modern Christmas classic Home Alone, as well as popular Christmas sing-a-longs. Guest soloists include Tak Kwan (violin) and Marcus Quin (clarinet).
Admission is free; monetary donations to Kawartha Food Share are gratefully accepted.
