Celebrated artist Michael J.B. Black is set to unveil his latest solo exhibition, "Garden Stories," at the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre from May 29 to June 23. The public is cordially invited to the opening reception on Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the artist, immerse themselves in the artwork, and connect with fellow art appreciators over refreshments and nibbles. Michael will offer remarks around 2:30 pm. This event is graciously supported by Château des Charmes, providing an assortment of fine wines.

Ghost Walk tours around the historical heart of downtown Oakville with stops to view historic properties and hear family friendly tales about Oakville’s spooky past. Tours are led by a costumed Ghost Guide who will use a portable PA system. Each walk lasts approximately one hour and is generally limited to 15 participants per guide. Following the walk participants will return to the Oakville Historical Society’s offices for hot cider and cookies as well as the opportunity to review the displays and information available.

Mark your calendars! The Oakville Historical Society's fabulous annual yard sale is coming up! Plenty of treasures to be discovered and bargains to to be snapped up!

Saturday August 10th (Rain date Sunday August 11th)

DONATIONS
Donations gratefully accepted. We would love to receive items in good condition: prints/paintings, frames, collectables, jewellery, linens, lamps, household items, toys, sporting equipment, craft items, holiday items and decorations. . Please NO books or clothing.

DROP OFF

Donations may be dropped off at the Oakville Historical Society's offices at 110 King Street, Oakville on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 1 and 4:30pm starting May 28th. Items may also be dropped off on Sunday June 16th and Sunday July 21st between 1 and 4:30pm. 

Last day for donation drop off is Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 4:30.

All monies raised directly support the Oakville Historical Society's mission to preserve and promote our local history.
