The ocean is the largest ecosystem in the world with thousands of species of plants and animals. In this activity, children will create their own small aquatic habitat and a variety of sea creatures and plants to live in it. These aquarium jars are fun to play with and will make excellent decorations. Children will also create other undersea fun. Program is Thursday July 17 from 9:30am - 12pm. Get ready for a night of fun, food, and community spirit at Bright Futures: Celebrate Canada — the Rotary Club of Peterborough’s signature fundraising event happening Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the McDonnel Street Activity Centre. This lively evening features a Chili Cook-Off Competition where you get to taste and vote for your favourite, live music by Tony Grady and The Patio Stones, an exciting raffle draw with a $4,000 cash prize, amazing getaway packages, and a silent auction packed with local goods and experiences.

All proceeds go toward Rotary projects making a real difference — from school breakfast programs and youth support services in our local community to empowering women in Pokhara, Nepal through skills training and education. Tickets are just $50 per person. Raffle tickets are $10 each or 3 for $20, with the draw at 9:00 p.m. Come celebrate Canadian spirit and global impact — and help us build brighter futures, one community at a time.
