Blood donors are needed in our community over the long weekend. Help fill the 100+ available appointments next week in Burlington.

  • The Burlington Blood Donor Center is located at 1250 Brant St., open Monday through Saturday.
  • Every minute of every day, a patient in Canada needs blood – this could be for a chronic health condition, a traumatic accident, cancer treatment or surgery. On average, it can take up to five blood donors to help one child undergoing cancer treatment. It can take up to eight donors a week to help a patient with leukemia.
  • Canada relies entirely on the generosity of donors to keep the lifeline going.  We need more regular donors to maintain a strong national inventory of blood and blood products to meet patient needs. New donors are critical to meeting Canada’s future blood needs.
  • Giving blood is one of the most direct ways you can help someone and takes just an hour of time.
