In recognition of the 71st annual CMHA Mental Health Week; your local CMHA and the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Champlain East is inviting the community to participate and sample a new wellness program WITH NATURE IN MIND!

Mood Walk combines physical activity with exposure to the natural environment. These two elements have proven benefits in promoting mental wellness. We encourage the community to see for themselves how participating in the Mood Walks program encourages social interactions, sense of belonging, and motivates individuals to be physically active while experiencing the healing effects of nature. A themed mood walk (Empathy) has been scheduled for you to sample. Sign up for this free event hosted at a green space near you!

Location: Gray's Creek Conservation area (Park and soccer field entrance)  6589 Boundary Road.

Date and Time:  May 4th 10:30am - 11:30am

Paricipation Prize: Someone will win a $100 SportChek Gift Card towards the purchase of a new pair of shoes to encourage continued active lifestyles for wellness. Thanks to YourTV Cornwall for sponsoring the participation prize.

The onset of the COVID pandemic in March 2020 closed down activities of the Belleville Choral Society (BCS).  In November of 2021, a small group of former choristers began the process of restarting the choir.  There has been considerable interest with some 45 names on the current mailing list.

In order to continue the process, there is a need to install an official board of directors elected by the membership at a general meeting.  Paying a member registration fee of $2.00 will qualify attendees to vote on nominated candidates.  Those who enjoy choral singing and have an interest in the future of BCS are invited to attend on Monday, April 25.
