Chatham-Kent Welcome Week provides opportunities to celebrate the contributions of immigrant newcomers, to connect them to services in Chatham-Kent, to promote diversity in our community, and to continue to showcase why Chatham-Kent was designated as Canada’s First Welcoming Community.

This years (2021) Terry Fox Run will again be Virtual - so that means one way - your way!!

The Run will take place on Sunday, September 19th, 2021.

Go online to terryfox.org to register to start collecting donations or to donate to someone you know who is participating.

T-shirts are available again at New Vision Optical Centre; Unisex (small to XX-large) cotton t-shirts are $20; Dri-fits are available (although selling our fast) Men's and Ladies sizes small to X-large - $30.

Kingston Grandmother Connection – September 18

Come to our outdoor Market on September 18 at 273 Blenheim Terrace (rain date is September 25), from 9am to 2pm. We’re offering our popular Nature Photo cards and framed prints by Kingston photographer Dieter Ehlert, plus textile crafts, New to You clothing, jewellery and books, a special selection of art and Exquisite Things, and more. All proceeds are directed to Help Lesotho and the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign, helping Grandmothers in Africa and their families.  COVID-Safe protocols in place. Please wear a mask and bring a shopping bag. Cash, credit/debit.
