Tri-County Literacy Council is offering a free online class called "YouTube for Fun or Profit". 

If you’re looking to:

YouTube can help you achieve that. This free online video-sharing platform is one of the most popular content formats regularly shared on Social Media. As the world heads online and sales surge during this Covid-19/Coronavirus pandemic, take advantage of this free, valuable resource for financial gain. Or, learn how to create private videos to stay in touch with family and friends.

This online course (certificate program) is taught via Zoom (an easy-to-use online platform). If you have access to a computer (with camera and microphone), an Internet connection, email address, and basic computer skills (ex: saving files, minimizing/maximizing windows) this training is for you.

Prince Edward Community Care for Seniors has launched its latest fundraising effort with a unique box of 33 handcrafted cards that come in an attractive keepsake box.  Each box is over a $100 value and the charge is only $35.00/box. Order a box of 33 birthday cards, or a box of 33 all occasion cards.  These make great gifts or buy for yourself to keep in touch with friends and family.  The Big Box of Cards can be purchased by going to the Prince Edward Community Care website at www.commuitycareforseniors.org For those who don’t have a computer, orders can be placed by calling Community Care at 613-476-7493.  All purchases must be paid for in advance.  Online ordering is open from November 1 to 22.

Quels moyens peut-on se donner pour mieux vivre les différents deuils, voire le deuil ultime ?  Au cours de cette conférence, nous aborderons l’anxiété, la tristesse et les deuils que vivent les ainés et leurs proches en élaborant les moyens d’y faire face pour garder son équilibre malgré tout.

Notre vie quotidienne a été bouleversée par la COVID.  Si on peut considérer que ceux qui vivent en couple sont privilégiés, il ne faut pas minimiser l’impact que le confinement peut avoir sur eux.  Comment composer avec la maladie ou la peur de la maladie, le stress de chacun, l’irritabilité que cela entraîne, la perte d’autres sources de satisfaction, la restriction des autres relations, les responsabilités parfois augmentées, la conciliation avec le travail ?  Les tensions qui existaient déjà dans le couple ne sont pas non plus disparues.  Au cours de cette conférence, nous aborderons les pistes de solution qui peuvent permettre aux couples de mieux traverser cette crise.

The Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre is excited to announce its Fall online fundraising art auction happening between November 6th to 16th, 2020. Community Living is once again hosting a frozen meals fundraiser. Frozen meals are fully cooked by Griffith Farm & Market, a local farm. With more than 20 meal options, there's something for everyone! Order by November 12. Meal pick-up is November 19 at the West End Mall Parking Lot (look for trailer). Meals are $7.00 each.
