KPG is offering a safe (physical distancing, hand sanitizing) and fun space for our 2020 summer day camp. Enjoy making clay projects, learn hand building techniques, variety of art and craft activities and outdoor activities (no-contact). Each camper will have their own space - table, tools, supplies all at a 2m+ spacing. Frequent cleaning/disinfecting, no shared supplies and protocols followed according to Peterborough Health Unit. Ratio is 3 participants to one counselor, maximum 6 participants per week. Participants must be between ages of 7 - 12, we also offer a teen only week. Community Event - Cornwall - FREE New Training: Wellness in Uncertain Times
Tri-County Literacy Council is pleased to announce a new free training titled: "Wellness in Uncertain Times". Over the last few months our world has changed. As we embrace the "new normal", explore self-compassion, gratitude, and self-acceptance through Zoom.
Zoom is an online video conferencing platform, allowing participants to connect with others through the comfort of their home. Betty Healey, a local award winning author and coach, will be assisting with the program.
The training will be 8 one-hour zoom sessions, Monday to Thursday, starting July 6th. The training is completely free. Each participant completing the training will receive a certificate. Tri-County Literacy Council is funded by the Ministry of Labour, Training, and Skills Development and the United Way of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry.
