Parking enforcement has been relaxed at on-street metres, but designated accessible spaces still require proper permits. Enforcement continues in parking lots, and emergency access must always be maintained. Complaints and abuse will continue to be investigated and enforced.
Windsor residents are being asked to respect the social distancing recommendations of health officials and please stay at least 2 metres away from garbage and recycling workers.
The City’s collection contractor, GFL is reporting that drivers are being approached for conversation and with offers to help load items in. While the sentiment is appreciated, please remember that the need for social distancing is vital. Please do not approach GFL staff who are working to keep our city clean.
Many residents are also taking advantage of the time at home for spring cleaning. Please note that all garbage requirements remain the same: garbage must be in hard sided containers and must weigh no more than 20kg (44lbs); pails are not to be overfilled; and loose garbage should not be placed in pails.
If anyone has been missed during collection, please call 311, as we are still taking calls and still investigating uncollected stops.

Red Tent Niagara is a volunteer based community initiative that was brought together by 8 local women known as the Red Tent Weavers who were inspired to co-create a supportive circle for women of Niagara.
Red Tent Niagara's mission is to create a safe space that is inclusive for women to connect, nourish, and be supported by the local community and Red Tent sisterhood.
Now more than ever we understand the importance of offering these circles, and due to the current situation we have easily decided to start hosting our circles virtually over Zoom!
JOIN US: Tuesday March 24th at 6:30pm. Check out our Red Tent Niagara FB event page for full details and for the link to Zoom in on Tuesday!
This will be our first virtual women's circle, and we are really looking forward to connecting with you safely from all our homes.
Take care out there ♥
