The Town of Amherstburg, in conjunction with the County of Essex and the other local municipalities, recognizes the financial uncertainty our residents are facing due to COVID-19. While financial relief may be necessary for some Town residents, property owners are encouraged to maintain their regular tax, water and wastewater payments to support provision of these essential services.
For payments due March 31, 2020 through to and including April 30, 2020 penalty and interest will be waived. Property tax and water accounts that are currently set up for pre-authorized payment plans remain unaffected. Property owners who wish to be removed from an existing PAP plan must contact the Town's tax office at propertytax@amherstburg.ca or 519-736-0012.

Please note, all pre-authorized payment withdrawals will continue to be taken on the scheduled dates unless otherwise cancelled by the property owner.
