The Kingston Military Family Resource Centre (KMFRC) is calling on the community to take part in Month of the Military Child, a nationwide recognition of the strength, adaptability, and sacrifices of military children. Throughout April, Kingston residents and businesses are encouraged to #TealUp in support of military families and participate in a 50/50 fundraiser launching on March 26 to directly contribute to resources for military children in the local community.

Why #TealUp?

Teal is the official colour of Month of the Military Child, representing all branches of the Canadian Armed Forces—blue for the Air Force, green for the Army, and a combination of blue and white for the Navy. By wearing teal and spreading awareness, Kingstonians can demonstrate solidarity and support for the children who experience frequent relocations, extended separations from loved ones, and the ongoing challenge of integrating into new communities.

50/50 Fundraiser:

A Chance to Give Back To make an even greater impact, the KMFRC is launching a 50/50 fundraiser on March 26, with proceeds directly supporting military families in Kingston. Every ticket purchased helps enhance activities, services, and resources that empower military children and strengthen their resilience. Tickets are available at: kmfrc.com/win Draw Date: May
