Public Notices/Announcements - Windsor/Leamington - Local Shelter Creating Space for Homeless Kids
Capital Campaign for $10,000 towards purchase and equipment of a permanent portable classroom of 480 square feet to be placed on-site where families access shelter. This space will allow expansion of their current weekend kids recreational program for the 400 + kids who are accompanying their parents and caregivers into shelter annually.
Named Patsy's Place, in memory of long time community advocate Patricia Noonan, the space will create first of its kind offerings specifically targeting kids, 2-15, who are in shelter and experiencing family homelessness.
