Take the CAP Money Course! This course is devised by the award-winning debt counselling charity, Christians Against Poverty Canada (CAP).
In partnership with CAP this course is brought to you FREE of charge by Faith Baptist Church, Huntsville.
In 3 sessions you can learn important budgeting skills & how to use a simple money management system that really works.
Sessions are on Mondays September 15, 22, and 29 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Faith Baptist Church - 169 West Road, Huntsville.

Community Event - Kingston - 2025 Gem Storm
Gem Storm 2025 is the Kingston Lapidary & Mineral Club's 54th annual gem and mineral show featuring riches from the earth and so much more. Whether you're a gemstone geek, a fossil fanatic, or just love shiny things, this is THE event you can’t miss.
What’s in store? Unique jewellery, crystal treasures, minerals, gemstones, fossils, a children's mine, jewellery workshops and gemstone identification. New this year are a number of lapidary demonstrations and jewellery-making techniques as well as a discussion on the history of Iroquois and metalworking by one of the KLMC members - all intended to peak your interest in these creative avenues.
Hourly Door Prizes – Come for the gems, stay for the loot! Prizes are just waiting to be won!
Admission is $5 per person, children under 12 are free with a paying adult.
So grab your friends, family, and your inner geologist, and head to Gem Storm 202 for a weekend of glittering fun. Let’s dig up some treasures, Kingston!
Community Event - Kingston - KGC Artisan Fall Market & Used Book Sale
Kingston Grandmother Connection: Join us Saturday, September 27 for a fabulous Outdoor Artisan Market and Used Book Sale at 617 Earl St. (Earl at Willingdon Ave.) Open 9 am-2 pm. We’ll have a stupendous array: hand-crafted sturdy African Baskets, tons of current and recently published fiction and non-fiction, children’s books, and puzzles. There will be hand-knitted toys and many bright, decorative and practical creative sewn items for personal and household use, Eco products and beautiful Sandglass Creations and cards.
Get started early for Christmas gifts. Help us in supporting African grandmothers and their families, hard hit by the AIDS pandemic and other challenges. All proceeds go to Help Lesotho and to the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign.
