Garth Webb Secondary School's Annual Special Athletics Track Meet
Garth Webb Secondary School was host to the 39th annual special athletics track meet on Friday, bringing together students with diverse physical and developmental abilities from all over Halton. Students in grades 4 - 8 participated in a wide variety of track and field activities - including 100 metre races, basketball, t-ball, soccer, bowling & obstacle courses in a supportive and fun environment, and the weather could not have been better! Jessica Katting spoke with the system principal of special education, Conan Spruin for more:
All 4 Her Run
Self confidence can be a struggle for some children as they grow up. Addressing that need, particularly for young girls, is at the core of a series of 'she can' programs offered by the milton community resource centre in partnership with schools across the region. Ensuring there's enough funding to support those programs is at the heart of the annual all 4 her run, which took place this past Saturday.

With Conservation Halton going on indigenous speaker series they will be presentating "the teachings of lacrosse" this sunday in the longhouse village at crawford lake. So Conservation Halton's indigenous education coordinator Leeanne Doxtator joins to talk about lacrosse's indigenous roots as well as what to expect at the event.
