But before we get these, Jason Agnew ask Sima Acan about her thoughts on the much discussed topic of bail reform.

The 2025 Canadian Federal Election saw redrawn boundaries for ridings in the Town of Oakville, and with the departure of MP Pam Damoff that cleared the way for a new representative for the Liberal Party to attempt to gain MP status. That is indeed what happened for first time candidate Sima Acan. Acan is now representing the new Oakville-West riding and Jason Agnew got the chance to get to know the new MP a few days ago and asked what she was doing before shifting to a career in politics.

Burlington Mayor Marianne Meed Ward Discusses The Goal of Elect Respect
The Elect Respect movement started as a conversation between a small group of women in Halton, founded by Burlington Mayor Marianne Meed Ward. They came together to share their experiences with harassment and abuse in public life and to stand up for a better way forward. From that conversation came a commitment to uphold the core values of democratic service, including the right to work free from threats, abuse, or intimidation. What began with a few voices has grown into a movement and this past week Toronto's City Council has adopted the resolution and accompanied by an article written in the Toronto Star. Thus in Jason Agnew's chat earlier today with Marianne Meed Ward, he asked as the movement gains traction, what does it actually mean?

Milton Mayor Gord Krantz Gives His Views On Automated Speed Enforcement
Automated speed enforcement continues to make headlines as the Provincial Government wishes to bring about legislation to remove all speed cameras. While municipal governments from across the Province see it as a way of increasing safety on our roadways with a self-funded system. Burlington Mayor Marianne Meed Ward has led the way, writing a letter to the Provincial Government begging to keep the current A.S.E systems in place and has been backed up by numerous mayors from across the Province, including Halton Hills Mayor Ann Lawlor and Oakville Mayor Rob Burton. However, Milton Mayor Gord Krantz has been silent on this file, until Jason Agnew's chatted with him this morning.
