The Battle of the Chefs
At the Oakville Conference Centre, the seventh edition of the Battle of the Chefs was held. The event’s goal was to help raise funds for Food4Kids Halton so that students in the region don’t go hungry, while letting local chefs from a variety of restaurants duke it out to see who is voted the best dish of the night.

R.E.D Friday 2026
Short for "Remember Everyone Deployed”, R.E.D Friday is an annual Waterdown event held by the Waterdown Legion that pays tribute to veterans, service members of the Canadian Armed Forces and first responders. Those who attend get a chance to learn about the people who protect our country through meeting those who serve, or by visiting the exhibits at the Waterdown Museum of Hope.

For generations, men have been told to push through, stay quiet, and figure it out on their own. This past weekend, fifty people walked along the Burlington waterfront to help bring awareness to men's mental health and to challenge the idea that men can't talk about their mental health.
