In this engaging and practical course, participants will learn:

• How to confidently shop online while ensuring your safety and security

• Strategies for navigating popular online marketplaces such as Amazon and Etsy

• Ways to protect your personal information and financial assets while online

Facilitated by CeCe Aers

Participants will need to bring their own device that they are most comfortable using for the course, i.e. laptop, tablet or phone.

The Centre has a limited supply of laptops you can request to borrow when you sign up.

A Friendly Voice is a free, confidential “warm line” for older adults aged 55 and above. Their trained volunteers provide empathetic listening and commitment-free conversations to seniors in need. Phone line is open seven days a week, 8AM-10PM. 1 (855) 892-9992

Care Partner Support Groups are an opportunity for self-care and are available to all care partners that are affected by Alzheimer's disease or related dementias. Care partners can share experiences, learn new coping strategies and take time for one self.

We are currently offering two support groups:

• In-person - First Wednesday of every month from 1-2:30pm at the Chatham-Kent Community Health Centres in Chatham
• Online - Third Tuesday of every month from 1-2:30pm on Zoom

Recognizing the crucial role that access to books plays in a child's development, The Kiwanis Club of CK has embarked on a mission to raise funds for children's books through an unconventional approach. Residents are invited to participate by donating any empty liquor and beer bottles. These donations will directly contribute to providing books for children in Chatham-Kent.

The Kiwanis Club of Chatham-Kent will be collected empty liquor, wine or beer bottles and any beer or alcohol cans.

Your donation will help raise funds towards the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. The Kiwanis club sponsors 437 children in CK. By supporting Bottles for Books, not only are you recycling and contributing to a cleaner environment, but you're also giving children the gift of education and imagination.

On May 25 leave your empties in your driveway at 9:00 am.

This class will cover:
à Chatham-Kent's landmarks, attractions, and historical sites
à How to use tourism websites, official guides, and social media platforms to discover tourist attractions
à Where to look online to find upcoming events and festivals 
à Utilizing mapping tools and transportation resources to plan day trips effectively

Care Partner Support Groups are an opportunity for self-care and are available to all care partners that are affected by Alzheimer's disease or related dementias. Care partners can share experiences, learn new coping strategies and take time for one self.

We are currently offering two support groups:

• In-person - First Wednesday of every month from 1-2:30pm at the Chatham-Kent Community Health Centres in Chatham
• Online - Third Tuesday of every month from 1-2:30pm on Zoom
