Quinte Rotary Music Festival

12:00 AM — 11:59 PM

Registration is now open for the 55th annual Quinte Rotary Music Festival.

We are so blessed with the talent we have in our community. The purpose of the Music Festival is to help young people develop their musical talent, and offer the opportunity to perform publicly. Awards are offered to encourage participants to continue in musical studies and performances.

In addition to providing each participant with individual feedback on their performance, the adjudicators may provide a mini - "workshop" with many of the participants throughout the different categories.  We hope you all return! It's a pleasure to see many of the same students competing year after year and to watch their progress as they become more confident and take on more complex pieces.

Walking in the Woods - Guided Hike

10:00 AM — 12:00 PM

Guided Hikes will be lead by Donna Kaye at various Quinte Conservation Areas on Mondays from 10am until 12pm.

Donna Kaye has recently retired from her career as a Forest & Nature School Practitioner and Early Childhood Educator. She lives in Cherry Valley, Prince Edward County, where she enjoys long walks in the woods, gardening, and exploring the beauty of the natural world. She is the co-author of a new nature-inspired children’s book titled ‘Move Along Huxley and Roscoe’.

The walks will begin at 10am in the Conservation Area parking lot and will end at 12pm noon in the same location. See list below for dates and locations. Please bring everything you will need on the walk including water, sunscreen, bugspray, weather appropriate clothing, etc.

Washrooms are available in the parking lot at the beginning and end of the hike only. Walking routes will be determined on the day of the walk based on the group's speed and ability.

We ask that you take nothing but pictures, and leave nothing but footprints.

This event is free and includes parking. Donations are kindly accepted and will be reinvested in stewardship, education and outreach.

Registration is required up to 2 hours prior to the walk. Event will take place rain or shine, but will be cancelled via email in the event of thunder and lightening.

The dates for our 55th Music Festival are March 31-April 4,2025, and the evening of April 4, will feature our Trophy competitions. On May 16th, awards will be presented at the Concert of Stars.

Deadline for entry is February 15, 2025.

The dates for our 55th Music Festival are March 31-April 4,2025, and the evening of April 4, will feature our Trophy competitions. On May 16th, awards will be presented at the Concert of Stars.
