Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

Peterborough Historical Society virtual public talk on Hutchison House YouTube channel. A recognized specialist in Peterborough business history, Ken Brown will examine the successful career of Robert Romaine. Truly a businessman of many parts, Romaine was a successful manufacturer of bricks, editor and publisher of the Peterborough Review, inventor of innovative farm machinery and, famously, printer of the Romaine Map of Peterborough 1875, an invaluable archival source. Ken Brown's publications include The Canadian Canoe Company and the Early Peterborough Canoe Factories; the Peterborough Potteries; and The Invention of the Board Canoe.
