This cherished community event highlights the creativity of local ceramic artists and offers a chance for residents and visitors alike to connect with the makers behind the art.

Featuring a wide selection of functional and decorative pottery, everything from mugs and serving bowls to sculptural pieces and garden accents, the Spring Sale is a perfect opportunity to support local artists and find one-of-a-kind treasures just in time for Mother's Day, teacher gifts, wedding season, or even a little treat for yourself.

The event is free to attend and open to all. Come meet the artists, explore the beauty of handcrafted ceramics, and be part of the vibrant local arts scene.

The Compassionate Committee for the Homeless in North Bay is producing Backpacks of Love filled with donated essential items.  

We need the community of North Bay’s generosity!

Donated items will be accepted at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption, 480 McIntyre St. W. (at the garage location across the street from the church) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025.

New items needed include:

Members of the Sault Ste. Marie Diocesan Council of The Catholic Women’s League of Canada (CWL) are called to attend the 105th Annual Diocesan Convention to be held from Friday, May 23rd to Sunday, May 25th, 2025, in North Bay, Ontario.

Celebrating 105 years of the Sault Ste. Marie Diocesan Council of the CWL, members will celebrate and pray together in person to sow seeds of hope as “Pilgrims of Hope” in this Jubilee Year.

Approximately 150 women on behalf of 30 councils, representing 1 800 members, will come together in North Bay for the Sault Ste. Marie Diocesan Council convention.  Members from as far west as Sault Ste. Marie and as far east as Callander, and places in between, will gather as women of faith, to pray together, to strengthen the bond of sisterhood, to participate in workshops and learn about the CWL, to develop leadership skills, to have fun and share stories, renew acquaintances, and create lifelong friendships.

The Catholic Women’s League of Canada is the largest national organization of Catholic Women in Canada with approximately 60 000 members, founded in 1920.  The program of the League is one of faith, service, and social justice, exemplifying the love of God and neighbour in the world community.
