When thinking of animal rescue or adoption, many people might not be thinking of pet rats. An organization in Burlington is looking to help the domestic rat population, while changing public perception at the same time.  Craig McNicoll has more.

Earlier today Halton Hills town council were updated on the situation with the site of the former old hide house. As we've covered here on Halton News the business was closed one-year ago, in October of 2024, and since this time the town has been attempting give the site a heritage designation, an honour that the current owner was not interested in.
