Quinte Ballet School of Canada (QBSC) is pulling out the stops with ‘Dance of Spring Showcase’ on Saturday, June 8th at 7pm, presented in Centennial Secondary School’s theatre auditorium at 160 Palmer Road in Belleville. The professional training program is rich in talent with student dancers from the Quinte area and as far away as Newfoundland and British Columbia. Featured in prominent roles are 5 graduating students who have been studying at QBSC from between 2 and 4 years and after graduation have each been accepted into multiple post-graduate programs in some of North America’s most prestigious dance schools. In addition, compelling and original works in Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop and Flamenco, choreographed by the QBSC Artistic team, will be on the program. Catherine Taylor, Artistic Director, says that ‘students have been rehearsing every day after regular training classes, and are really looking forward to this performance.’ The past year’s hard work and dedication will be beautifully expressed in Dance of Spring, showcasing their tremendous achievements in multiple dance forms.
