Road Trips in Hastings County: Wallbridge
This "remarkable little town" has the distinction of being home of Ontario's oldest municipal government. In 1998, Sidney Township (which included the village of Wallbridge) was amalgamated with the City of Quinte West.

Road Trips in Hastings County: Ontario's First Gold Mine
In 1867 Ontario's first gold mine went into production and the community of Eldorado was founded. A number of small gold mines were subsequently established in southeastern Ontario, including the Deloro, Gilmour, Cordova, Feigle, Bannockburn and Golden Fleece. Eldorado is just north of Madoc on highway 62.
