Ready for a book bonanza? The Kingston Symphony Volunteers Book Fair has thousands of books of every category! Categories include: Fiction (featuring many recent novels), Mystery, Biography, Politics, Music, Canadiana, Children’s, Literature, Poetry, History, Military, Art, Architecture, Health and Fitness, Self-help and DIY, and many more. Collectible hunter? We have some excellent collectibles from a variety of different categories. Whether it's a hard cover, soft cover, paperback, or collectible you're looking for, the Kingston Symphony Volunteers Book Fair has you covered!

Get first access to the incredible selection of books at the Kingston Symphony Volunteers Book Fair by purchasing an Early Entry ticket for opening night. A ticket lets you shop from 4-4:30 p.m. before the Book Fair officially starts at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Tickets are $25 each and only 50 tickets will be sold. Entry at 4:30 p.m. is $5 and these tickets are available at the door. Entry on all other dates of the Book Fair is free.

Cooke's-Portsmouth United Church 200 Norman Rogers is having

a Fall Craft Fair on Saturday September 27th from 9-1.

We will be having a baked goods table and single serve dinners.

There will be several crafters selling their wares. Face painting etc.

Admission is free and there is  ample parking available. Fun for all.

Kingston Grandmother Connection: Join us Saturday, September 27 for a fabulous Outdoor Artisan Market and Used Book Sale at 617 Earl St. (Earl at Willingdon Ave.) Open 9 am-2 pm. We’ll have a stupendous array: hand-crafted sturdy African Baskets, tons of current and recently published fiction and non-fiction, children’s books, and puzzles. There will be hand-knitted toys and many bright, decorative and practical creative sewn items for personal and household use, Eco products and beautiful Sandglass Creations and cards. 

Get started early for Christmas gifts. Help us in supporting African grandmothers and their families, hard hit by the AIDS pandemic and other challenges. All proceeds go to Help Lesotho and to the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign.

The Kidney Walk is a fundraising walk for The Kidney Foundation of Canada. This is an opportunity for the community to come together and show their support for the 1 in 10 Canadians that live with kidney disease.

Funds raised will support patient services and innovative medical research.

The Kingston Kidney Walk is on Sunday September 28th in Lake Ontario Park. Registration is at 10 am and the walk starts at 11 am.
