As garden season starts to wind down for the year, it might be a good idea to top up your compost. Halton Waste management is offering free compost for all Halton residents this Saturday. Craig McNicoll has the details.

As Community Development Halton celebrates its 41st anniversary one thing has remained consistent. Since day one, the organization has been working to connect the community. While that goal remains the same, some of the challenges have changed over the years. Things like social media, smartphones and increasing poverty are, one could argue, leading to a more disconnected society. Community Development Halton hosted an evening to explore that theme by screening a documentary called, "the great disconnect" before engaging in a panel discussion.

Telling Tales is a charity focussed on children's literature and every fall they put on their signature festival at the Royal Botanical Gardens. Jason Agnew spoke with Executive Director Heather Kanabe to get all the details on this year's festival.
