Women of Distinction: Robin Clipsham

Huntsville's mayor makes first public appearance after rare surgery
Mayor Scott Aitchison addressed the audience at the Mayor's Golf Tournament dinner, on Sept. 7, stressing the importance of local healthcare and calling on residents to speak up and fight to keep quality healthcare in the community.
Aitchison went for coronary angiogram procedure in Newmarket back on Aug. 2, which indicated he needed bypass surgery. The mayor underwent a rare sextuple bypass surgery on Aug. 8 at the Southlake Regional Health Centre.
Huntsville Theatre Company getting ready for their new season
The Huntsville Theatre Company launches their 2017/2018 season this fall. There are four shows for the season and a holiday show. Residents can support HTC in a number of ways include through their GoFundMe Page. For more information on HTC, you can go to their website.
Friends for Life Walk 2017
The Muskoka OSPCA wants you to take part in their annual Friends for Life Walk. The walk will be held on Sunday, September, 24 at Kerr Park in Bracebridge.
Paul Hammond's hobby museum
Bracebridge resident Paul Hammond has a building full of memorabilia from all over Muskoka. From classic cars to vintage calendars to war-time gas ration tickets, Hammond plans to expand his museum to fit more items.
Family Place Restaurant has new owners
Bessie and Dino Georgas has owned the Family Place Restaurant in Huntsville for over 30 years. With the business' continuing success, Bessie and Dino decided to pass the torch to Jenny Spring and Oliver Wolfe.
