A new bill being proposed by the province of Ontario would see the provincial government having say in who sits at the Chair level of the District of Muskoka. This announcement last week has been met with some staunch criticism from local politicians and officials, with some suggesting this appears to be a play by the province to essentially overstep municipally elected officials on local matters.
