One year ago today, that's when the COVID-19 pandemic became real for us in Ontario. YourTV Muskoka spent the last 365 days covering the local COVID-19 impacts and we want to take you on a trip through this past year and all the things we've been through together.

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is officially back in the red zone, freeing up some businesses like hair salons, barbershops and gyms from being completely closed. Just after the announcement was made on Friday, a group of Muskokans gathered outside Norm Miller's office in Bracebridge to protest the lockdown and their rights and freedoms being allegedly stepped on by the government. YourTV Muskoka also spoke to MPP Miller earlier this week to get his response on this protest.

One of those owners, Aimee Sinclair a local fitness trainer, is petitioning the government to reconsider the unfair closure of these businesses.
