The NPCA has begun a public engagement process that will lead to a new management plan for Woodend Conservation Area.

Local car enthusiasts The Niagara Drifters on their inaugural Cruise Night at Canada One Outlets in Niagara Falls. Over the summer on Sunday nights, car connoisseurs gather to display their vehicles and raise money for a worthy cause. For the first event, the Drifters and family of RUSH drummer Neil Peart were on site raising money for cancer causes, including the Neil Peart Memorial at Lakeside Park, and local cancer patient Austin Martel.

The Ontario Brain Injury Association along with the City of Thorold held a flag raising ceremony to acknowledge Brain Injury Awareness Month. Brenda Schultz files this report.

Over $100,000 was raised at the Walk to End ALS that took place June 6th in St. Catharines.
