Santa Claus made a special visit to the Canada/US NORAD station in North Bay recently to make sure they were ready to secure his Christmas Eve ride, and to spread some holiday cheer as well

The Salvation Army Kettle Campaign Kick Off took place today at their headquarters.  Volunteers will be stations around town collecting money for Christmas baskets.  Making a donation is easy as you can drop cash in the canister or simply tap your card. 

The folks at NORAD are preparing to track Santa Claus and his reindeer on December 24th.  Today, the members of NORAD invited the media to see what goes into preparing for the big day. 

The new twin pad arena off of Lakeshore Drive is making good progress.  The project is on time and on budget according to municipal officials.

The Ontario government is celebrating the opening of the new Northern Heights Community long-term care home, adding 160 modern long-term care beds to the community. This project is a recipient of the construction funding subsidy top-up and is part of the government’s plan to protect Ontario by creating good jobs and building for the future, while ensuring long-term care residents get the quality of care and quality of life they need and deserve.
