The Town of Oakville has distributed heritage grants to maintain buildings around the town that help tell the story of Oakville's history.

Burlington's Joseph Brant Hospital has recently been designated an Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) assessment site, and has been taking extra measure to make patients comfortable, including the introduction of a brand new state of the art mammography machine. Jessica Kaitting reports:
Special Athletes’ Track Meet
Over 450 students from the Halton District School Board participatedin the 36th annual Special Athletes’ Track Meet at Garth Webb Secondary School in June. The event included 100 metre races, basketball, T-ball, soccer, bowling, obstacle courses, bean bag toss and additional sensory stations and providesdathletes with special needs with an opportunity to demonstrate their skills and celebrate their successes with fellow students, friends and family. Goodwill Amity Donation Centre Opens
Goodwill Amity opened a new assisted donation centre at 2501 Guelph Line to help collect second hand goods to help stock their retail stores which support their employment services.
