Wellington Dukes forward Dawson Ellis had a shift to remember against the Cobourg Cougars Monday night in OJHL action. Ellis gets hit twice by Cougars defenceman Brannon Butler. The first time he lands in the Cougars bench, the second time he gets hit in open ice. He continues on with his shift and eventually scores the gaming winning goal.
Back pack stuffing hits close to home
Northumberland United Way executive director Bobbie Dawson says helping stuff 1300 back pack made her reflect back on her childhood and not always having school supplies to start off the new school year.
4th Line Theatre presents Carmel
Carmel is the third in the Barnardo children series of plays (Doctor Barnadro’s Children, 2005 & 2014; Wounded Soldiers, 2014) and will feature characters you already met and fell in love with. This play is filled with music, dancing and farm families trying to get on with the job of living their lives. Set on the Carmel Line in Cavan Township in 1937, the play follows the struggles of a family to hold on to the farm during the Great Depression. This bittersweet work also explores Peterborough labour history and features original music inspired by country and folk music traditions of the 1930s. Carmel is dedicated to Harold and Lillian Lunn.

Youth Walk in Clinic
Access to youth counselling in our community improved on March 19th with the expansion of an existing adult walk-in service to also serve individuals betwen the ages of 7-16.
