12 Days of Holiday & CO Safety Tips
The Muskoka Fire Departments has teamed up with us to bring to you holiday tip #9 of the 12 days of Holiday Fire & CO Safety Tips.
MAHC Taking Precautions Against Influenza
MAHC is monitoring influenza levels in the community and is screening patients for flu-like symptoms both at Emergency Department triage and at Patient Registration. Anyone experiencing a sudden onset of fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, muscle and joint pain, and/or headache, must put on a mask. While these measures are in place for patients, visitors to the hospital come and go freely.
To prevent spreading viruses to others, clean your hands often with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand rub – especially before entering and after exiting a hospital room. Sneeze and cough into your elbow, and avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.
Wearing PJs for United Way
